Founder in San Francisco.
As an AI founder based in SF, I spent the last 24 hours meeting people in LA and the vibe is so different 1. In LA, “connect” means bumping iPhones and exchanging numbers. In SF, “connect” means scanning LinkedIn QR codes. 2. LA people dress up to attend events and there are no signs of tech hoodies and jeans. As someone who enjoys fashion, in SF I consciously dress down when I go to events, but I guess that wouldn’t be an issue in LA. 3. During a conversation I said “while we’re here, lets just pick a time for our call next week” - I was told this is very SF What other differences have you seen?
