Day 1 of building in public. Hi everyone, I'm new to X. This is me committing to "learn and build in public." After chasing the "perfect launch" for too long, I'm drawing a line: today is Day 1. No more waiting for perfection. I'm just going to start sharing what I learned today. To make this sustainable, I built a simple system with Claude Code. It has a built-in checklist to track my experiments and lessons — designed to export easily into shareable content (as screenshot attached). Not perfect, but it's my starting point. Today I learned the concept of "sawdust" while analyzing a solo founder's product portfolio. It's a fascinating mindset once I understood it, all his work suddenly made sense. 'Every time we build something, we leave behind sawdust: the messy byproducts we usually ignore or throw away.' Processes we repeat 5× → a guide/automation template/skill Spreadsheets we maintain by hand → a tool Scattered project links → a portfolio page That sawdust has value. The trick is seeing it before we sweep it away. I'm not nailing this yet. Distribution is the hardest part. Ideas are cheap. I'm tired of throwing the byproduct away. For me it's extra tricky — I'm not a native English speaker and often lack confidence expressing myself in English. I also tend to undervalue these scraps. But this mindset clicked: value the sawdust and turn it into BIP content. The goal isn't Day 365. It's making building in public feel like muscle memory. Starting realistic: $100 MRR from one of these. (yes, $100 I want to be realistic, the consistency is more important for me) Launching is a repeatable skill: lists, timing, communities, and follow-up — not a single day of luck. #buildinpublic
