“Build in public.” This phrase carries a lot. Some people think it’s just about posting daily. Others think it’s about joining every consistency challenge because everyone else is there. 😩 But here's the thing, doing all of that without being intentional and true to yourself makes building in public less meaningful. After taking a Web3 content writing course, I knew I had to put that knowledge into practice, but I didn’t know how. I wasn’t great at technical writing, but with creativity and a storytelling vibe, I could always craft something unique. I wouldn’t call myself a storyteller, I'd prefer "a creative writer". 🙂‍↔️ The writing course gave me a taste of copywriting, a skill that helps in scaling brands with a social presence. 🤔 That made me think of new ways to spread my wings. This led me to Social Media Management. I started small, volunteered, experimented, learned, and that’s how my pinned post came alive. From then on, building in public became more exciting because I was finally exposed to the reality of handling a social media account. On my very first SMM content, I met Disee in the comment and something clicked. We flowed in conversations, and now we’re hosting a space together this Saturday on Social Media Management. 🥳 Now imagine if I wasn’t intentional about growth or curious to learn new skills. I wouldn’t have met the Social Queen. That urge to keep posting and showing up with intention, even on days it didn’t feel like it, earned me a great connection without me ever saying, “Let’s connect.” 🤷 ------ Hey newbie, don’t sleep on building your social presence with your skillset.
