Cofounder in India.
The culture of a startup comes from the people who built it. From how they think about science, about innovation, about what counts as evidence, about what they refuse to say just because it sells. If you don't genuinely share it, the friction is constant. Nobody pushes you out. It just never fits. This is why "looking for a cofounder" posts always feel strange to me. You can screen for credentials. Years of experience. Skills. You cannot screen for whether someone independently arrived at the same principles you did. When I first connected with @mutant1879, "joining a startup" wasn't even a thought in my head. I was just someone following his work with keen interest, reading his substack, fascinated with his wisdom, his insane athletic skills, his passion to get knee deep into research. I deeply resonated with how he thought about science and innovation. Months of that. When he asked, it wasn't a hard decision. I ended up cofounding FreeGym. Anyone applying has every reason to perform alignment. Someone who shows up just to learn has none.
