Community builder in Los Angeles.
Last night I went to a Claude Code event in LA. Getting to meet other builders was awesome - you immediately have a conversation topic that everyone is eager to talk about: learnings, problems we've run into, and musings on how it'll continue to impact our working lives. Everyone I met was building something, and I learned so much from them. Both technical and non-technical builders: - A writer/editor with 15+ years of experience building a micro SaaS to help improve and (actually) fine tune the natural language output of LLMs - A marketing agency founder using it to scale and automate media buying - A PM using it to build a daily journaling app Getting to nerd out about Claude Code with other nerds in LA gave me hope that there's still a tech scene here. It's much smaller than SF, but what's there is passionate and engaged.
