Developer in Nigeria.
Building in public has honestly changed how I see growth in tech. At first, I used to think people only wanted to see polished products and big success moments. But the more I shared my journey, the more I realized people actually connect with the real process behind everything. The: • random bugs that waste your whole night 😂 • redesigns you thought would take 20 minutes • client feedback that changes everything last minute • moments you almost abandon the project completely • tiny wins that feel huge because you know how hard they were That’s the part people relate to. A lot of us developers are quietly figuring things out as we go. Learning. Failing. Improving. Rebuilding. And honestly, sometimes sharing the messy process teaches people more than the final product itself. One thing I’ve also noticed is that building in public attracts opportunities naturally. People begin to: • trust your skills • follow your progress • recommend you • support your work • grow with you You stop looking invisible online. So these days, even when a project isn’t perfect yet, I still try to share the journey. Because someone out there is probably learning from your unfinished version while building theirs too.
