When I was younger I had some weird obsessions that admittedly I would get mocked for but in reality gave me complete joy. These pretty much all happened in my early teenage years: - Begging my parents on road trips to stop at a farmer's market for local blueberries as they blew away the supermarket berries I was accustomed to all year - Picking coconuts off random trees in Florida and find a way to drink the water through relentless stabs with dull knives - Making pomegranate juice from scratch because Pom didn't taste like actual pomegranates - Eat Dark Chocolate every day (that habit hasn't gone away) and said Milk Chocolate was bad. Also getting free monthly Godiva Hazelnut Truffles for more years than I can count. - Figuring out the price of Papayas sold in every market and finally finding a great deal on the street in the bronx, and bringing up a "way-too-ripe" Papaya to my grandmother's house for her to cut and serve It was telling when there was a point in summer camp when everyone would buy Velveeta Mac and Cheese and Frozen Pizza at Walmart and I sat there eating unsalted sunflower seeds and Lindt 90% Dark Chocolate. Takeaway For those younger or even older than me Do your best to reflect on your personal obsessions that everyone finds weird, and you'll likely have an easier time figuring out what you want to do rather than waiting for the right opportunity to fall into your lap (that probably doesn't exist). Also, this is Day 2 of me looking for a cofounder specializing in sales and marketing with deep experience in the CPG space to join me in growing my olive oil brand Palloncino
