Hey, I'm building AI tools for journalists and newsrooms to break stories faster. Over the last year I built a NewsOSINT tool that ingests over 90k feeds from social media, local blogs, arrest records, trading records, public court dockets and about 70 other data streams. Funding has been the biggest barrier. At bare minimum the data streams generate 30GB a day, and I haven't turned on live audio and video ingestion from open-source CCTV and radio transmissions yet. I'd like to make this open source because journalism and news are a public good, but there are a few hurdles to the next stage I'm trying to tackle. I'd also like to connect with people who want to enter journalism.
