This is where it all started And boy does writing a travel blog in 2016 feel like a world away from writing today > No frameworks > No copywriting hacks > 'Content' wasn't in my vocab Just raw musings from a 19yr old who'd never been abroad (or more importantly, writing to impress the girl who gave him the idea to blog) But when people ask me when my writing journey started, I always say it was 2022. That year I made a resolution to tweet every day. No threads, no listicles, just one tweet a day. It wasn't a lot. But it kickstarted my journey to: > Tweet 11k+ times > Quit corporate London to live out my business dreams > Meet founders, tech alum, investors, and HUGE creators I thought were untouchable > Build a writing agency which I believe is the most personalised on X I credit all that to getting on Twitter (X) in 2022. But that's not right... It's not from tweeting. It's from writing a travel blog 7 years ago to a girl I was trying to impress. -- If you know me you know I like to look at longer time horizons when deciding what to do. But you can't always play the calculated long game. And you shouldn't. Some things you should do just for the hell of it. Whether it's to show off your writing prowess to a girl, try something different, or just do something you love. You never know what it could be the start of. "You can't join the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards" -- Steve Jobs (Yes I was begging for comments. No I didn't get a single one. But it didn't stop my 6 month blogging journey!)
