🩶✨ 2010s consumer social is dead ✨🩶 i've thought a lot about this the past few months and have come to the conclusion that "social media" as we know it now is purely content-driven entertainment media - which is fine but... nothing about it is *social* (like it used to be circa 2012) how are we supposed to stay friends w people we meet irl if we don't have the tools to maintain those friendships url (online)? i go to a @partiful party (url -> irl) and meet someone / become friends but what then? how do we stay friends online? an instagram follow doesn't always mean we're actually cultivating a friendship and the "cringe epidemic" of 2010s social media = less people use the platforms for their intended uses meme-sharing (yes) imessage/whatsapp (yes) find my (yes) 1. url --> irl & 2. irl --> url but what else? who's building in this space? i wanna meet you! going to be writing a lot more about this : ) follow for more ZN ✨♓️🕯️🫵🏼👀⚡️🩵🤝🧿💭🔮
