Seeing 1 line of code saying "BLP" and then jumping to the conclusion of HyperEVM is dead is a horrible take i have been seeing quite a few times Sure BLP may or may not be a good thing immediately for HyperEVM lending protocols (we shall see in the future) However the state of the EVM itself needs to grow, borrowing/lending is one factor out of an entire ecosystem There are still like what sub 20k users of hyperEVM Half of which may use lending. With hypercore allowing for lending and borrowing it opens many of the hypercore users to explore lending and borrowing further, hypercore has a far wider userbase then hyperevm does. It also would lead to many possibilities for open doors towards the evm e.g. having a inhouse BLP may increase demand for borrowing / lending protocols on hyperevm, the BLP may be tokenised which could loop to the hevm, and many more possibilities (shoutout my talk with smartestmoney for thinking about these) Either way there is little to no information to really go off for the BLP at this point, there is no communication from the team and little reason to ever believe the hyperliquid core team would want the HyperEVM to fail. If the HyperEVM fails it effects the whole ecosystem, and why would we as the hyperliquid community want that to happen? Sure there are shit projects on hyperevm but there are also great projects and builders building here everyday because we see the potential of the HyperEVM and the outer Hyperliquid ecosystem Not just altoshi who had this take but ive constantly seen ".hl's" who for some reason have the need to see the hyperEVM fail? Thats possibly the most unalligned hyperliquid mindset to have As someone who is building in this eco its pretty sad to see how other people in this community are wanting to see projects fail because they need validation of being "right" There is no way that the hyperliquid team created the HyperEVM just to let it die, they need the HyperEVM because they believe in the future of Defi and need other builders to progress the space alongside them Remember that the HyperEVM is in alpha stage and I (maybe unrealistically) have high hopes that there are going to be endless possibilities for builders to work on the EVM In no other ecosystem is there a Hypercore <> HyperEVM <> HIP-3 level cohesion for builders In the end Hyperliquid will grow, and HyperEVM will grow alongside it. Builders are just needing to step up to build alongside the greatest team in crypto HyperEVM is not dead, it hasnt even truely begun.
