4 months in. Honest update. I built Smart Link for the wrong audience for 3 months. I was marketing it as a "Linktree alternative for content creators." Getting zero traction. Then someone said: "Your product isn't a bio page tool. It's a tracking infrastructure for affiliate marketers." That one sentence changed everything. Same product. New positioning: β "Free Linktree alternative" β "Get Voluum-level tracking for free" The features were always there: β Bot detection (blocks fake traffic automatically) β Geo + device targeting from one link β S2S Postback (cookieless, iOS 14 safe) β A/B testing for links β Real-time analytics I just wasn't talking to the right people. Biggest lesson from 4 months of building: A great product with the wrong message = zero growth. The same product with the right message = everything changes. Still early. Still learning. Solo founder from Jordan. Have you ever had to reposition your product completely? π #BuildInPublic #SaaS #AffiliateMarketing
